Singapore's mobile networks, and the one your eSIM uses
Singapore's four networks, compared from their own publications: Singtel, StarHub, M1 and SIMBA, and how to tell which network is carrying your eSIM.
- Four networks
- Singtel, StarHub, M1 and SIMBA
- M1 since 1997
- 5G on each operator's pages

The short answer
Singapore has four mobile networks: Singtel, StarHub, M1 and SIMBA. Each keeps its own pages: Singtel and StarHub sell 5G+ plans, M1 has run commercial services since 1997, and SIMBA sells 5G mobile plans with eSIM. The plans on this site run on Simba, StarHub or Singtel, named before you pay.

What the networks say about themselves
The comparison here comes from the four networks’ own sites. Singtel keeps its mobile plans, including its 5G+ plans, on singtel.com. StarHub keeps its mobile plans and its 5G+ network page on starhub.com, and describes the network as built into its plans, reaching indoors and underground. M1, a subsidiary of Keppel Ltd, has run commercial services since 1997 and states that it was awarded one of Singapore’s two nationwide 5G standalone network licences; its mobile plans and SIM-only options sit on m1.com.sg. SIMBA, the fourth network, sells its 5G mobile plans with eSIM on simba.sg.
How to see the network on your phone
Connect the eSIM line and its network is named right beside it: on iPhone under Settings, Cellular (or Mobile service); on Android, in the SIM settings. The screen lists both lines: the usual SIM, then the eSIM.
Check the operator’s own pages for your route
Each network keeps its own pages, and the choice comes down to where you will be: the building you work in, the line you ride, the island you visit. The plans on this site run on Simba, StarHub or Singtel, named before you pay, so read the right operator’s pages for the places you are going, then choose the plan that fits.

Which network will my eSIM connect to?
The one named on your plan before you pay: the plans on this site run on Simba, StarHub or Singtel, and the four-country ones cover Singapore, Malaysia, Indonesia and Thailand. Your phone shows that network's name next to the eSIM line once it connects.
Do all four networks sell 5G?
Each network publishes 5G on its own pages: Singtel sells 5G+ phone plans, StarHub builds its 5G+ network into its mobile plans, M1 states it was awarded one of Singapore's two nationwide 5G standalone network licences, and SIMBA sells 5G mobile plans. Whether a future plan for Singapore uses 5G is not confirmed yet, so this site says nothing about it.
Which network is my eSIM using, and where do I look?
Next to the eSIM line, your phone prints the network's name: on an iPhone in Cellular or Mobile service, on Android in the SIM settings. Both lines, the usual SIM and the eSIM, are listed there.
