Singapore eSIM help: setup, fixes and straight answers
Everything about the Singapore eSIM from this site: the setup at home, the switch after landing, the fixes and the refund rule.
- Install within 30 days
- Data roaming only if needed
- QR code right after payment
- Full refund if it does not work
The short answer
The eSIM is installed at home on Wi-Fi before you fly. When you land, switch it on and hand it the mobile data role; turn on data roaming for that line only if it will not connect. If it does not work and cannot be fixed, you get a full refund.

What do you need?
Install the eSIM
The QR code is scanned at home over Wi-Fi; the 30-day window starts at purchase.
OpenSwitch it on in Singapore
On landing: the switches to touch, and the order they go in.
OpenData roaming
The one moment that switch matters, and its place in the menus.
OpenNot connecting
Each check in turn, then a note to support.
OpenRefunds
What can be refunded, and how to ask.
OpenCheck your phone
Settle the eSIM question in one dial: *#06#.
Open
Set up your eSIM in four steps
Check your phone
Two boxes to tick: eSIM support, and no carrier lock. Dial *#06# and look for an EID on the screen.
Buy a plan
Pick the days and the data on the store. Every plan names its Singapore network, and the total, tax included, is shown before you pay.
Install at home
On Wi-Fi, scan the code the order page shows, inside the 30 days after buying. Payment finishes and the code appears at once, so keep the page's link.
Switch it on in Singapore
Power the line on and give it the mobile data job; data roaming goes on for it only when it will not connect.
Coverage in Singapore: what to expect
Singapore has four mobile networks: Singtel, StarHub, M1 and SIMBA. Each network publishes its own coverage map, so check the map for the places that matter to you: the building you stay or work in, the MRT line you ride, the island you visit. An eSIM for Singapore runs on one of these networks, and the network's name appears next to the eSIM line once it connects.

Registration: the passport step for Singapore prepaid SIMs
A prepaid SIM card bought in person in Singapore is registered at the point of sale: citizens and residents with their ID, visitors with their passport, and there are limits on how many lines one person can register. This eSIM is bought online and delivered as a QR code, and nothing on this site asks you for a passport in advance. If a plan carries a registration step, it is stated on the plan before you pay.
Troubleshooting
The QR code will not scan
Confirm the Wi-Fi is live, then retry the scan from a second screen, or key the details in from the order page. A few handsets want the eSIM added in the settings rather than by camera.
Installed fine, but the signal bars stay empty
Confirm the eSIM line is on, then flick airplane mode on and off once. Leave the phone a few minutes to lock onto the network.
There is signal, but no data
Hand mobile data to the eSIM line. Should the data still not start, switch data roaming on for it; the store puts that switch down as the fix when a line will not connect.
Data works, then stops
Look at your order page: when a plan's days or data run out, the data can slow or halt for the remainder of it.
The data keeps flowing through my home SIM
Point mobile data at the eSIM line, then stop the phone auto-switching data between lines, so it cannot slip back to the home line.
I deleted the eSIM by mistake
Your first move is a note to the store's support with the order page link. A QR code is normally a one-time install.
All of the checks are done, and the line still will not connect
Write to the store's support with your order page link and your phone model while you are still in Singapore. If it cannot be made to work, you get a full refund.

Quick answers
What does a plan name before I pay?
Its Singapore network, one of Simba, StarHub or Singtel; the data and the days; that it is data only; and its price in US dollars with tax.
Does the eSIM have a phone number?
No, the plans carry data only. Your own number stays on in your home SIM for calls and texts.
Should data roaming be on?
Off, except one case: the eSIM line will not connect, and the store's guidance allows that switch when a line does not start. The home line keeps it off.
When should I install it?
Home, Wi-Fi, 30 days from buying. The line itself stays off until your plane lands.
Can I use WhatsApp on my own number?
Yes. WhatsApp runs on the same number; the data comes from the eSIM.
Who answers if something goes wrong?
The store that took the payment. Send its support the order page link.
