Sentosa eSIM: online from the boardwalk to the beaches
Sentosa holds the beaches Siloso, Palawan and Tanjong, with the Sentosa Express running in from VivoCity and a boardwalk crossing on foot. With the eSIM on from the airport, the ride to the sand starts on the map.
- Sentosa Express from VivoCity, Level 3
- The boardwalk on foot
- Siloso, Palawan and Tanjong

The short answer
A Sentosa eSIM is installed at home before you fly and switched on when you land, with data roaming on for the line. The Sentosa Express boards at VivoCity, Lobby L, Level 3, from 7am to midnight, and island travel on the Express, the buses and the beach shuttle is free. Siloso, Palawan and Tanjong are the beaches.

Where the signal holds
- 4G and 5G
Singapore's four networks
Singtel, StarHub, M1 and SIMBA keep their own mobile and 5G pages. Read the network's own coverage pages for the buildings and routes on your trip.
- Not measured
The beaches and the water
We have not measured signal on the beaches or over the water. Download your tickets and a map before you set out.
- Data roaming on
Your eSIM
The eSIM runs on a Singapore network and shows that network's name in your phone's settings. Turn data roaming on for the eSIM line.
Practical notes
- Getting thereTake the MRT to HarbourFront, then walk into VivoCity: the Sentosa Express boards at Lobby L, Level 3, with the first train at 7am and the last at midnight. On foot, the Sentosa Boardwalk starts at VivoCity Lobby F, Level 1; part of it has been closed for waterfront development works since 22 May 2025, with reopening expected in 2030, so pedestrians follow a covered linkway instead.
- Getting aroundTravel within the island is free on the Sentosa Express, the Sentosa Bus and the beach shuttle, which link the station stops, the attractions and the beaches. The Express serves Resorts World, Imbiah and Beach stations, and Siloso, Palawan and Tanjong are the beaches to pick between.
- PayingThe currency is the Singapore dollar (SGD), issued by the Monetary Authority of Singapore. Contactless bank cards and mobile wallets work for payments around the city, and public transport also takes EZ-Link cards and the Singapore Tourist Pass.
- When to goSingapore is warm and humid all year. The Meteorological Service Singapore describes two monsoon seasons, the Northeast Monsoon from December to early March and the Southwest Monsoon from June to September, with inter-monsoon months between; rain falls in every month, and the wettest stretch runs from November to January.
Before you go (Sentosa)
Install the eSIM at home on Wi-Fi and keep the line switched off until you land. Download your tickets and an offline map while you still have Wi-Fi, in case the beach or the water has no signal. On arrival, switch the eSIM line on, choose it for mobile data and turn on data roaming for that line only.
