Singapore eSIM not connecting: the checks, in order

  • Line on
  • Mobile data on the eSIM
  • Pick the network by hand

The short answer

Check four things in order: the eSIM line is on, it is chosen for mobile data, airplane mode has been switched off and on, and data roaming is on for the line if it does not connect. Then pick a network by hand. If it still fails, write to the store's support while you are in Singapore.

The checks

First comes the eSIM line: it has to be switched on. Second, it is chosen for mobile data. Third, give airplane mode ten seconds on and off, or restart the handset. Fourth, with data still stuck, data roaming goes on for the eSIM line.

Pick the network by hand

The eSIM line’s settings hold a switch for automatic network selection: turn it off, then work down the list of networks one at a time. Wait a minute on each one.

When the data runs out

Data that worked, then quit? Look at your order page: the plan’s days or data are used up, so mobile data may slow or stop for the rest of the plan.

Write to support

If nothing works, write to the store’s support while you are still in Singapore, with your order page link, your phone model and screenshots of the mobile data settings. The store is the one dealing with orders, QR codes and refunds; its support replies in English and Vietnamese. An eSIM beyond any fix is refunded in full: see refunds.

Still stuck?

Orders, QR codes and refunds are handled by VietSIM support. Write with the link to your order page and your phone model.
